OPEN HOUSES!
All Aboard for the Big Boy Tour!
Join us for an exciting week of railroading history at the Altoona Association of Model Railroaders' special Big Boy Model Train Open Houses!
Families and train lovers are invited to explore two floors of incredible N & HO scale model train layouts, enjoy complimentary light refreshments, and celebrate the visit of the world's largest steam locomotive, featuring a 1/160th Scale Union Pacific Big Boy #4014.
Dates & Times:
📅 Wednesday, July 8th — 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
📅 Thursday, July 9th — 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
📅 Friday, July 10th — 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Free admission (donations appreciated!). Kids and families welcome—experience the joy of model railroading and celebrate an unforgettable week of big steam history with trains!
Please note: This event is hosted independently by the Altoona Association of Model Railroaders and is affiliated with neither Union Pacific nor Norfolk Southern.
We're Open Every Friday!
7:30pm - 10:30pm
*Our monthly business meeting is held the last Friday of the Month. Both layouts are shutdown from 8:30pm - 9pm.
